Three people were arrested
in an Auburn Boulevard motel over the weekend in connection with an
identity theft ring that had been operating out of a Roseville apartment,
authorities said.
Placer County Sheriff's Department detectives, in
cooperation with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, arrested
Tisha Sartor, 25; Jonathan Pendergrass, 25; and Patty Klith, 22.
In the motel room - rented under the name of one of the
victims - the three were found in possession of stolen driver's licenses
and Social Security cards, according to a Placer County Sheriff's
Department news release.
Each was wanted on a $250,000 arrest warrant for
conspiracy and identity theft.
Sartor and Pendergrass had additional Sacramento County
warrants and were booked into the Sacramento County jail. Klith was booked
into Placer County jail.
Authorities are searching for Luis Sotelo, 37, who is
believed to have fled California. Sotelo is wanted on a $250,000 arrest
warrant for conspiracy and identity theft.
